Last week we met at Heidelberg University for a workshop focusing on the politics of twin transition. The event involved two days of inspiring and fruitful discussions about the possibility and challenges of governing the transition towards green and digitalized societies!
Valuable, constructive and critical insights were shared, including:
- Katherine Arena and Piero Tortola outlined the role of city networks in the governance of the climate and digital transitions.
- Tatiana Saraseko compared EU and UN city networks, with implications for socio-ecological transformation.
- Jale Tosun examined the rural–urban divide in the context of the twin transition.
- Emanuela Bossini explained the political background of the TEN-T corridors.
- René Kubach and Patricia Hergesell presented the role of Metropolitan Region Rhine-Neckar in supportin the twin transition.
- Marjan Marjanovic and Yannis Papadopoulos discussed key lessons and risks for the co-creation of policy on twin transition.
- Pieter Velghe brainstormed ways to engage citizens in co-creation forums.
- Jon Halvard Eide and Karsten Aust shared valuable insights on co-creation from Agder Fylkeskommune.
Amanda Machin, Karin Fossheim and Stefan Gänzle presented plans for publishing our work on the governance of twin transition. Thanks very much to Jale Tosun, Simon Schaub, Maria Brønnum Herz, Alexander Helm and Katharina Müller for organising and hosting!
